Mr. Erik Wilson is the Superintendent of Norfolk Public Schools as of July 1st, 2026.
A message from Mr. Wilson:
It is both an honor and a privilege to begin my new role as Superintendent of Norfolk Public Schools.
I am a former student of NPS and a graduate with the class of 1996. Following High School, I enlisted in the Nebraska Army National Guard, serving nine years with the Norfolk Unit. From 2005 to 2010, I served on the Norfolk City Council representing Ward 4.
I began my education career teaching eighth-grade science at Norfolk Junior High. I later moved to teaching ninth-grade science and agriculture at the High School. In 2014, I stepped into Administration as the High School Assistant Principal. Since then, I have had the privilege of serving our district in several leadership capacities, including Director of Student Services and Safety, and most recently, Associate Superintendent/Business Director. Beyond the classroom and administrative offices, I have also invested in our students' growth by coaching football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, and track, as well as serving as the FFA sponsor. I am incredibly proud to be a Panther, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunities this district and community has provided me and my family.
One of my primary objectives is to foster strong, collaborative relationships with our parents, students, staff, and community partners. By working together, we can ensure that our students receive the rigorous education, critical skills, and support necessary to achieve their goals, realize their dreams, and grow to be productive citizens and future leaders.
I look forward to a remarkable school year ahead.
