Norfolk Public Schools Wellness Policy
Any educational agency that participates in the National School Lunch Program or any federal Child Nutrition program is required by law to have a district wellness policy.
The Board of Education adopts clearly defined written policies and rules to guide the operations of the school district to be in compliance with the federal law. The policies are reviewed and acted upon at the Board of Education meetings that are held on the second Monday and fourth Thursday of each month.
Norfolk Public Schools District Wellness Committee Goal:
*45% of staff will participate in at least one Wellness Committee Sponsored event (Staff Appreciation Day does not count toward this goal).
