Norfolk Public Schools Announces Dave Nelson to be Norfolk High School Dean of Students for 2020-2021.
Mr. Dave Nelson will be the new Dean of Students at Norfolk High School for the 2020-2021 school year. He will be replacing current Dean of Students, Tracy Lichty, who was recently promoted to the Principal of Westside Elementary School for 2020-2021.
Dave Nelson has been a member of the Norfolk Public Schools district for 18 years and currently teaches at Norfolk High School in the Social Studies department. He is also the Head Coach of the Panther Swim Team. Mr. Nelson will continue to coach swimming for 2020-2021.
Superintendent Dr. Jami Jo Thompson told us, “Mr. Nelson has great rapport with the high school students and staff and I believe he will be a great Dean of Students. His leadership style will be a great addition to the team and we are excited to have him in this new role at NHS.”
Pending Board of Education approval at the 3/26/2020 school board meeting, Mr. Nelson will assume his role as Dean of Students on July 1, 2020.
