NHS football team volunteers help assemble 400 emergency buckets!

Monday, July 22, 2019, volunteer team members and coaches of the NHS football team joined other NPS Safety Team members to assemble 400 Emergency Buckets for Norfolk Public Schools.  These buckets will be placed in classrooms and common areas throughout the school district and will provide supplies to support student and staff needs during a potential extended lockdown period.

This emergency bucket project is another step in the Norfolk Public Schools’ strategic planning goal to enhance and effectively use its comprehensive safety plans and procedures.  Emergency Buckets will be in place for the 2019-2020 school year.

The school district would like to thank these outstanding Panthers for volunteering their time and talents to this important project.  It is a great representation of the character of this team, both on and off the field, that they would want to be a part of making their school district stronger and safer! And, their hustle was incredible, assembling 400 buckets from start to finish in less than 2 hours!  Go Panthers!
