Norfolk High School in the 'Spotlight'!

New Home and Better Opportunities for AFS!

Norfolk High Schools' Alternatives for Success (AFS) program was established in 1997 and has helped numerous at risk students successfully pursue and obtain their goal of high school graduation.

Today (January 4, 2016), marks a milestone for AFS students, who will attend classes for the first time in their new location. This new location will facilitate enhanced educational opportunities for AFS students who may want to participate in elective and Career Academy courses at Norfolk High School. It will also offer these students expanded educational opportunities through its technology-rich, flexible environment.

The Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will be present at the AFS building for a ribbon cutting ceremony on February 10th at 10:30 A.M. The grand opening celebration will continue with a Community Open House the same date from 3:00-5:00 P.M. Please join us at the new AFS location, 601 Cedar Ave (directly behind NHS), for refreshments and a tour of our larger, more modern facilities, specifically designed to enhance the educational opportunities for AFS students.
