Welcome back students, parents, and guardians!
We are very excited to start a new school year here at the junior high and we are looking forward to seeing everyone as we start school. We had great turnouts for our student schedule pick-up and we are anxious to see all of you at our Open House on Tuesday, August 11th from 6-7 p.m. Hope you can make it!
Norfolk Junior High is an outstanding school with high academic standards and a "student centered" staff committed to maximizing each child's own unique learning potential. We believe in providing the best possible educational experience for our students and student safety and learning remain our top priorities.
In addition to our strong core content area, classes like math, science, English, and social studies, we have an excellent range of academic elective courses such as Life Management, Industrial Technology, Art, Careers, Digital Citizenship, and others to complete a rich and engaging curriculum.
We also offer a wide range of extracurricular activities for students and participation in these activities strengthens each child's connection to school. This fall, students will be able to run cross country, play football and volleyball, join Student Council, or get involved with band, choir, and orchestra. Our Aftershock after school program (which offers activities like cooking, robotics, and other clubs) is also an excellent place to get involved.
