Nebraska Seal of Biliteracy

NHS has two French IV students who qualified for the Nebraska Seal of Biliteracy.  Josephine Liess and Clayton Spray are the students who qualified.

Students must complete 2 or more years of the same language and then complete rigorous proficiency testing with a qualifying score to be eligible for the Seal of Biliteracy.

The SEAL OF BILITERACY is awarded to students in Nebraska who have mastered standard academic English, as well as a second language. In Nebraska, the Seal is awarded by NILA, the Nebraska International Language Association. The Seal is an accomplishment that is an asset when applying to colleges and for jobs.

This is only the second year that the Seal of Biliteracy has been awarded in Nebraska.

Ms. Martha Thompson teaches all levels of French at NHS.

Congratulations to Josephine and Clayton on their accomplishment and to Ms. Thompson for her leadership and guidance to these students!
