NHS Earns 2019 State Speech Runner-Up

The Panther Speech Team earned the 2019 State Speech Runner-Up trophy on Thursday, March 21st at the NSAA State Speech Championships at the University of NE at Kearney. Twelve students advanced into finals in eight events! We also had two event champions in Duet Acting and Entertainment Speaking, as well as silver medalists in OID and Informative Speaking! Millard North won the tournament. Even though Lincoln East had more events in finals, these kids turned in some stellar performances in their finals rounds and were able to upset them and bring home that runner-up trophy!

Shawn Bryde - Poetry - 4th place

Tress Nelson - Poetry - 5th place

Lloyd Manansala - Serious Prose - 5th place
