SCHOOL CALENDAR- SUMMER 2025
May 28 through June 20
Morning Session -- 8:00 am-11:30 am
Afternoon Session -- 12:00 pm-3:30 pm
**History course- Morning Attendance is required; Afternoon attendance is optional but assignments are required!
ATTENDANCE POLICY
Class begins promptly at 8 am for the morning session and 12:00 pm for the afternoon session.
There will be a ten minute break during each session.
Due to the brevity of summer school, few exceptions are made to this attendance policy. Students and parents should direct attendance questions to an administrator at NHS 402-644-2529.
A maximum of two absences are allowed per semester class. Parents will be contacted by phone if a student misses a class.
NO tardy is excused. Two tardies equals one absence. Students more than 20 minutes tardy will be counted absent.
REGISTRATION/SELECTION PROCESS
Students may begin registering for summer classes during the fall registration process.
Students who have core course deficits and who wish to attend summer school must enroll in the deficit core course(s) before attempting another summer course.
PAYMENT
$40 for full year History Registrations will not be accepted without full payment.

Fee waivers are available for summer school and are due with summer school enrollment forms.
Refunds will only be available at the discretion of the NHS financial office.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Students should park in the front of the building and enter through door 1.
Norfolk Public Schools and Norfolk High School rules will be followed during the summer session. The normal school dress code is in effect for the summer school term.
The Media Center will be available for students to use during summer school hours.
Limited special education services are available during summer school.
Progress reports and grade reports will be available on the Parent Portal throughout Summer School.
