News from Mrs. Rohrich's Class

This year has been such a great year! We are learning so many new things in 1st and 2nd grade. In addition to our hard work, we have made “Being Kind” a priority in our classroom this year. February 17th was World Kindness Day! We heard many kindness quotes from our Kindness Club, read stories about kindness, and performed acts of kindness as well! Mrs. Johnson came to our classroom to read “A Little Spot of Kindness”. We had great discussion on ways that we can show kindness at school and at home.

Here are some of our amazing ideas:

Emerson: I show kindness by helping people.

Tanner: I show kindness by helping my friend when he fell hard on the ground by jumping off the playground.

Brooklyn: I show kindness by not fighting with my brother

Bowen: I show kindness by saying kind words.

Daxon: I show kindness by picking up trash and saying thanks.

Amelia: I show kindness by helping my teacher and my classmates.

Julius: I show kindness by giving my things to others.

Sharon: I show kindness by cleaning up. I say thank you and please. I help people. I’m kind.

Nova: I show kindness by being kind to Laylah. She is my BFF.

Laylah: I show kindness by being kind to Nova. She is my BFF.

Reyna: I show kindness by taking turns and playing with others too! Also by sharing with my mom and being nice.

Aiden: I show kindness by doing chores without being asked.

Aeda: I show kindness by picking up.

Nevaeh: I show kindness to my friends when I help them tidy their shoes.

Everly: I show kindness by telling someone they are worth it.

Cooper: I show kindness by being quiet in the hallway and picking up trash.

Madelyn: I show kindness by picking up things that are not mine.

Eva: I show kindness by picking up trash, being nice, helping my sister, and cleaning up my area.

Christian: I show kindness by using manners. I help my friends.

Easton: I show kindness by giving a gift to you. I help another person.

Zoey: I show kindness by using my manners. I show kindness by picking up trash that is not mine. I show kindness by complimenting everyone. I show kindness by saying hello to someone new in the neighborhood.

It’s crazy to think that this school year is almost over. We are looking forward to warmer weather and learning new things! We are going to continue to sprinkle kindness wherever we go and hope that others will too!
