MONTESSORI MUSIC NEWS

Third and fourth grade students have been busy in music! They learned about dynamics, crescendo, decrescendo, accelerando, verse and refrain as we completed a unit on how music travels from place to place! We had fun learning movement and working as a team to The Old Brass Wagon. They are doing an awesome job learning to sing canons in two and three parts!

First and second grade students have been learning new things in music! They are doing a great job identifying notes and rhythm patterns as they sing and play instruments. They enjoy playing name games with rhythms. They learned about Grieg, a Norwegian composer who wrote Peer Gynt and listened to In the Hall of the Mountain KIng. Keep up the good work!

Kindergarten boys and girls have been very busy in music learning many new things! They are doing an excellent job reading, writing, and playing rhythm patterns using stick notation!
They enjoy singing seasonal songs and doing actions. They are also learning how music can be loud and soft, fast and slow as well as many other new concepts. Great job!
