"The Reading Zone" grant money was used to purchase books to encourage reluctant readers. These high interest books have created a new love of reading for several ACHIEVE students at the Junior High. In addition to reading for pure enjoyment, we have witnessed improved MAPS reading scores, pride in their improved abilities, and increased self-esteem for a few students. The grant amount was only $520, but this success is priceless in the life of a young adult! Thank you to the NPS Foundation for awarding this Classroom Grant!
