Happy New Year Washington families!
Second graders had a fun December as we studied different countries and their holiday traditions. One of the countries that we studied was Germany, and its tradition of Gingerbread houses. In the days before our holiday break, 4th graders joined the second grade classes in the gym to construct our own gingerbread houses! Building gingerbread houses in second grade is an ongoing Christmas tradition at Washington. The students discovered how difficult, and fun, it can be to build gingerbread houses!
