For Grant 4th graders, the beginning of the school means a focus on collaborating as a team. Each day, students were given a teamwork challenge to accomplish which included building the tallest structure (with marshmallows & spaghetti), stacking cups (no touching the cups with your hands), and saving a gummy worm. Teams were encouraged to be creative in finding solutions as well as working together for a common goal. After each challenge, students discussed the dynamics of working as a team as opposed to concentrating only on individual goals. It’s going to be an incredible year of working as teams in 4th grade!
