Every December Grant students make paper trees and decorate them for the Veteran's Home. These trees are traced by the Fourth Graders. They make around 250 trees! We start with outlines of a Christmas tree. Then we pass them out to the whole school. Not just Fourth Graders decorate them though, the Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Graders decorate them too! They decorate them with glitter, ribbon, pom poms, and even stars for the top of the tree! This gives the veterans the feeling of holiday cheer. Every year the veterans love them! We love decorating and giving the trees each year.
