Super Second Graders
2nd grade students are working extra hard this month on Math facts using Xtra Math and IXL. They were the first 2nd graders to complete MAPS tests. They did an awesome job! We are learning about parts of speech including nouns, verbs, and adjectives. We are excited to get into our fall writing. Students will write about the seasons of an apple tree, life cycle of a pumpkin and Christopher Columbus. We will incorporate our Step Up to Writing curriculum, which includes learning to write topic sentences, main ideas, details, and conclusion sentences. Look for our published writing pieces in the hallways! We would also like to thank our parents and students for attending parent teacher conferences.
