ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT
Please call Grant (644-2544) between 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. if your child will be absent. We have an answering machine so you can leave a message if you need to call earlier than 7:30. We make every effort to encourage good attendance, and punctuality at Grant and appreciate your help in this matter. Research shows that good attendance results in higher student achievement in math and reading. You will be notified when your child accumulates five absences and/or five tardies. Students with five tardies will need to stay after school in their classroom for 10 minutes upon the next tardy and each day tardy after that. Meetings will need to be held after 10 absences or earlier if a pattern of attendance concerns has developed.
