Norfolk Junior High Staff and Students took time to celebrate our veterans November 10th. Many students entered a contest about what Veteran's Day means to them. We got to see the winners with their amazing works of art. First Place was Maddox Weckerle Dietz with her drawing of soldiers at Iwo Jima. Second Place was Pareena Ponniah with her drawing about Heroes In Disguise. Third Place was Kirsten Schmuecker with a poem entitled Veteran's Day. NJHS Band, Orchestra, and Choir all performed patriotic songs. We had a trivia contest with students and staff, and we heard In Flander's Fields from Kelcie Painter. Thank you to all Veterans for your sacrifices!
