Early Childhood Education Academy

The Early Childhood Education Academy will prepare students for careers cooperating with children. They will look at the development of a child from conception to 8 years of age. Students will also discover the many laws that govern the proper care of a child in daycare and preschool facilities.

Students in this academy will have the opportunity to visit child care facilities and observe the day to day responsibilities and behind the scenes work that goes into running the operation. Students will get the opportunity to work in a daycare or preschool and receive practical job training through job shadows and internships.
