Our classroom is filled with 25 eager students ready to learn something new each day. So far we have worked on numbers 1-10, the shapes ,colors and color words, letters and their sounds, sight words, and life cycles through our butterfly unit. We are working on the Montessori Drawers. The children are sounding out the words as they write. It is so exciting to see them accomplish the joy of reading! We celebrated Dot Day in September. The children colored their own dots. A dot may be small, but with a dot you can be very creative and show your individuality. We also did an apple unit in September. We tasted and voted on our favorite apples. We discovered that we love all apples. The yellow, green, and red all tied! Yum! Apples are a good snack!
