We have been very busy learning many new things in music!
The Kindergarten, first, and second grade students have been singing seasonal and action
songs, and doing movement activities. They enjoy learning about Peter and the Wolf -
a Russian fairy tale. They are discovering which instrument sounds match the characters in
the story. They are doing a great job!
The third grade students completed our unit on lines and spaces of the treble clef. They had
fun making a Valentine spelling project where they wrote messages to decode into words
using the musical alphabet. Great work third grade!
Fourth grade students completed our unit on learning the families of instruments in the
orchestra. They participated in many activities and games and completed their assessment.
They are ready for the wonderful world of recorders! Way to go fourth grade!
