Picture Day at Grant

Picture Day at Grant will be on Tuesday, August 30th. 

No need to bring money on picture day.  Two poses will be taken of every student. A Proof and Order from will be sent home about 10 days later so you may select the pose you like.

Second-Graders at Grant Elementary enjoyed a hot day at the Henry Doorly Zoo!

Students have learned about animals and their habitats, their culminating activity was a field trip to the zoo.  For some students, this was their first visit to the zoo!  A favorite highlight this year included seeing the 16 day old baby giraffe!  Our zoo trip has become a Grant tradition second-grade students always look forward too! Students Meet Reading Goal!

This year the Grant students set an Accelerated Reading goal of  20 million words by the end of the year.  Our principal, Troy Berryman agreed to kiss a pig if they met their goal.
