The 4th graders at Grant Elementary school learned about the history of Patriot’s Day. They learned about the incredible importance of our nation’s first responders when the attack on America happened on September 11, 2001. We discussed the bravery, courage, and sacrifice made by the first responders. Fourth graders remembered Patriot’s Day by writing to our local police officers and firefighters. They expressed their appreciation and gratitude for everything they do to keep Norfolk safe.
