Students in Mrs. Baker’s first grade class at Grant Elementary recently enjoyed a day at SMILE, Inc. Patty Prauner, owner and operator of SMILE, invited the students to learn more about her non-profit organization that provides therapeutic horseback riding for children and adults. The students were able to groom, saddle, and ride the horses in appreciation for their efforts of collecting money throughout the school year and then donating it to SMILE. A surprise visitor arrived that had been a former student of Mrs. Baker’s thirteen years ago, who also enjoyed riding at SMILE and is now a volunteer. Smiles were in abundance that day!
