The fabulous First Graders at Grant Elementary have been working on their reading skills. They have read stories, learned new vocabulary and spelling words, visualized, predicted, looked for key details, read with their partners, and recorded and listened to themselves read a story on our Seesaw app.
All of this hard work has really been paying off! They are showing more confidence in their reading ability and are starting to take more chances. They will try to read new words more now than at the beginning of the year.
It is so fun to see their faces brighten up when they are able to read a new word, a whole sentence, or even a complete story! I know these first graders will be a group of lifelong lovers of reading and learning.
