In December, Grant students make large paper trees to decorate and share with the Veterans Home. Before our fall break, 4th grade students trace and send home nearly 250 trees to be decorated! Every student, Kindergarten through 4th takes home their very own blank tree. They are returned decorated with everything from paint and stickers to bows and real twinkling lights. The creativity and effort from each family is amazing. The trees are displayed in the hallways at Grant before they are taken to the Veterans Home. They are then enjoyed by the veterans and help give them the feeling of holiday cheer. The students love decorating and giving the trees each year to spread the joy.
