MARK YOUR CALENDAR: OCTOBER 9 IS INTERNATIONAL WALK TO SCHOOL DAY!!
You and your child are invited to participate in the International Walk to School Day! Friday, October 9, 2015.
We're looking forward to having your child participate by walking to school or home from school. As a parent, you're welcome to participate by walking with your child. If you normally bring your child to school try parking a block or two away and walk with them to school!
As you know, making sure your children get adequate physical activity is a key way to help protect them from childhood obesity. This deadly epidemic brings with it conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and asthma. Allowing your children to participate in the International Walk to School Day is a great way to encourage them to stay active and healthy.
We hope you'll use this opportunity to remind your children how important physical activity is to their health. We're looking forward to celebrating International Walk to School Day with you on October 9!
