As summer has come to an end we began another exciting year at Grant Elementary!
The first several days of school were getting back into routine by learning and relearning
school and classroom expectations. In 3rd Grade we continue to learn and practice all
the routines. The first week we said how much 3rd Grade Rocks with our 3rd Grade
Crocs! The students got to share a little about themselves by designing Crocs. Some of
the beginning of the year assessments are happening. We also were introduced to the
rules for our NEW Beautiful Gaga Ball Pit! They love this as one of the things they do at
recess. We have started learning about cultures and communities in Reading and
Social Studies. We are learning about and reviewing Place Value and Rounding in
Math. In Writing we are being introduced to the Trait Ideas. In Mrs. Shaver’s 3rd Grade
each student set goals for themselves and posted them to our #Goal Getter Board.
They will begin with these goals and look at them each quarter. The 3rd Grade Team has
lots of goals and high expectations for all our 3rd Graders this year! Welcome back to
School and Learning!
