Norfolk High School will be limiting the number of spectators at school events this fall. Fans, parents, and students are asked to abide by these guidelines when attending an athletic event hosted by Norfolk Public Schools.
- Attendance at NHS Athletic Events will be limited to 4 immediate family members of each participating student and coach. This number may change based on tournament formats, venue capacity, risk level, etc. and will be communicated in advance.
- Family members must be submitted to the school district on a form completed by participants.
- Only family members listed on the student’s form will be allowed to purchase a ticket or a seasonal activity pass to the event.
- Families are allowed to submit up to 8 eligible individuals on this form, but not all individuals listed will be able to attend each event. We must limit each event to 4 persons per participant due to capacity restrictions.
- Participants will be defined as a team member on the level that is being played as well as cheer, dance, and band members who are performing at the contest (if applicable).
- Immediate family is defined as parents/guardians and siblings. Grandparents are also allowed to be added to the list.
- Family groups are to be seated together for health and safety reasons. Please honor social distancing guidelines between households.
- Please arrive early to allow time for check-in and ticketing procedures prior to the event start time. Identification may be requested.
- Face coverings are required of all spectators, both indoors and outdoors. Please stay home if you are feeling ill.
- Non-participating students will not be allowed unless they are immediate family members of the participating student. Students attending with their families must sit with their family group. There is no student seating at this point.
- No fans or spectators, falling outside these parameters, will be admitted until further notice.
- These guidelines apply to visiting teams as well.
Spectator and fan support is a hallmark of Panther activities! Although we are unable to gather in large numbers, we are thankful for the opportunity to perform/compete. Making arrangements for immediate family to attend was a priority. Please honor the guidelines so opportunities for students and families can continue.
Each host school district will have their own guidelines and restrictions. Restrictions will not be universal across activity type nor venue. Please consult information provided by that school district prior to the event.
This plan is subject to change as health and safety guidance is received from local government officials, health officials, or the NSAA.
