Middle School Secret Kindness Agents make a big impact!

The Secret Kindness Agents (SKA) were a new student group implemented at Norfolk Middle School for the 2017-2018 school year. Throughout the school year, thirty-six fifth grade students worked together, anonymously and often before or after school hours, spreading love and good cheer throughout the school.  The student members were assigned secret missions to encourage kindness, encouragement, and a positive environment at Norfolk Middle School.

Examples of their secret missions included saying "thank you" to as many people as possible, spreading kindness with encouraging notes placed on student desks and delivered to teachers/staff, positive banners in the hallways, and even kind notes placed in library books to be discovered later by the unsuspecting readers.

When missions were complete, the agents would journal about what they did, how people reacted, and how it made them feel.

Plans are in place to continue SKA during the 2018-2019 year.
