The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) went into effect on April 1, 2020. This law has two key parts: (1) Emergency Paid Sick Leave and (2) Emergency Family and Medical Leave Act Expansion. The District has communicated how Norfolk Public Schools will comply with the new legislation while providing financial peace of mind to all employees.
After reading the Coverage Guidelines for FFCRA and you feel that you would qualify for one of the options in numbers 1-6, please complete the Application for Leave below and submit it electronically via email to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org or via fax to the Payroll Department at 402-644-2506. Once FFCRA and/or sick leave has been exhausted, the employee may request administrative leave from the Superintendent. Please complete the Request for COVID Related Administrative Leave and submit via email to if applicable.
All staff members that have been quarantined due to COVID must complete the Self-Certification to Return to Work document and submit it to their building principal prior to returning to work.
